F.A.Q.'s

What’s a typical workout like?
Our camps are tough. We teach to the fittest person in camp; that way everyone gets a challenging workout. Throughout the 4-5 weeks, you will not have the same workout twice. We keep your interest level high by changing the workout. Our Performance camps are indoor and outdoor. We incorporate both cardio and weights into each workout for maximum benefit. Our Power camps are all indoor and incorporate treadmill use. Level-10 camps are all outdoor.

What if I can’t perform a certain exercise?
We will offer a modified, lower-impact drill as an alternative; however this is not personal training, so we cannot spend all class with you exchanging exercises one on one.

Will you yell at me?
We do yell, but only motivating and encouraging affirmations or inspirational quotes, and we never belittle anyone. You don't pay good money to come and get your self esteem lowered. We want to show you that you are capable of more then you ever realized.

What do I need to do to begin?
You will need a can-do attitude, running shoes, loose, comfortable clothing, a hand towel, sunscreen in the summer for Level-10 camps, and the understanding that our camps are very challenging. You can bring bottled water if you like, but we do have water faucets and filtered water at each location.

What about the weather?
If you are in a Performance camp, you need to be prepared to go outside everyday unless it is below 20 degrees.

Am I fit enough to enroll? Should I go to the gym to get in shape before I come to boot camp?
We like to ask the question, "Is your car too dirty to take it to the car wash?" Of course not! You are coming to boot camp to change your body and your life. You can do this!

What if I cannot attend a class one day? Can I come during a different time?
Unfortunately, no. Our camps fill up and we cannot accommodate more people. Part of what makes Genesis Fitness special is the camaraderie you get by being with the same group of people for the length of your camp.

Do you have shower facilities?
Yes. At all of our locations we have men’s and women’s shower facilities. We provide shampoo and body wash. Please make sure to bring a shower towel, as we do not provide them.

What qualifications do your instructors have ?
Our instructors are the best. Not only are all of our instructors CPR certified, many of our instructors hold national certifications in fitness. Our instructors also participate in various athletic activities. We have instructors who have placed first in a double ironman triathlon, mixed martial arts fights, former professional athletes, and adventure racers. To learn a bit more about our instructors, check out our instructors page.

Do you have parking?
Our DTC facility is located in a strip mall, and there is a large parking lot available. Our Downtown location has a parking lot behind the facility, but please make sure to only park in the visitor parking. There is plenty of street parking, but be prepared and bring quarters for meters to be safe. Always make sure you park legally.

My class starts at 5:30 am. What time does the facility open ?
We open our doors 10-15 minutes prior to class.

Can I try a class for free?
Yes, but please call our main number, 303-837-1234 to let us know to expect you, and to make sure we can accommodate you that particular day. You can also email us here.

What if I do not like it? Can I get a refund ?
Our refund policy is very clear and you can check it out here. To sum it up, we are very confident in our camps, so as long as you come to day one or day two, if you decide that a camp is not for you, we will give you a 100% refund, no questions asked, no fine print. However, if you do not attend until day three, then penalties will apply.
